Buyers do not pay platform or commission fees on DigitalBid. The lien holder selling the asset through us covers our fees, so what you bid is what you owe (plus applicable taxes and the shipping rate below).

How we get paid

Lien holder covers our fee

Our customers are the banks, leasing companies, and lien holders that list repossessed inventory through DigitalBid. They pay our service fee out of the sale proceeds — not the buyer.

Shipping handled by us

Transport is our responsibility. The first 500 miles from the item’s pickup location are free, and after that we charge a flat $1.20 per additional mile — quoted clearly on the invoice before you pay.

Distance from the lot You pay
0 – 500 miles Free
501+ miles $1.20 / mile
Example: 800 mi from pickup (800 − 500) × $1.20 = $360
01 Are there any fees for the buyer?
No. Registration, browsing, and bidding are completely free. There is no buyer’s premium and no platform commission added to your invoice. Our service fee is paid by the lien holder selling the asset through DigitalBid — not by you.
02 What happens after I win?
Our team confirms the winning lot and prepares the invoice. The invoice shows your winning bid, applicable taxes, and the shipping rate (free for the first 500 miles, $1.20 per mile after that). No buyer’s premium or platform fee is added.
03 Can I review the asset before bidding?
Every listing includes our condition notes and photos. If you need specific details before bidding, contact our team and we will confirm what is available for that lot.
04 How does payment work?
Payment instructions are sent after winning. The invoice shows the winning bid plus applicable taxes and the shipping charge (free for the first 500 miles, $1.20 per mile after that). No buyer’s premium or platform fee is added — the lien holder pays our service fee.
05 Where does the inventory come from?
Our lots are repossessed or institutionally sourced inventory, usually from banks, leasing companies, and lien holder channels. DigitalBid lists them as dealer inventory.
06 Do you arrange shipping? How much does it cost?
Yes — shipping is our responsibility. The first 500 miles from the item’s pickup location are free. After that, transport is billed at a flat $1.20 per additional mile. The total shipping charge is calculated and shown on your invoice before you pay, and our logistics partners handle road or rail transport, permits, and documentation.
07 What if an item is not as described?
From delivery, you have seven days to report documented condition issues. Our team reviews the issue and handles resolution or refund according to the sale terms. Read the 7-day delivery review details.
08 Are auto-bid and proxy bids supported?
Yes. Set a maximum bid and our system bids on your behalf up to that limit, with anti-snipe extensions in the final seconds — so you never miss a winning opportunity while offline.
09 How long have you been in business?
We’ve specialized in pre-owned American classics for over 8 years. Our reputation is built on accurate listings, honest pricing, and support that doesn’t end at the sale. Thousands of satisfied customers — many of them repeat buyers — trust us with their next purchase.

10 What does your inspection cover?
Every vehicle goes through a 100+ point inspection before it is listed. Cosmetic condition is graded and photographed honestly, so what you see is what you get.
